AWR - Funding Research
The Antarctic Wildlife Research Fund (AWR) was established to facilitate and promote research on the Antarctic ecosystem.
Donations are raised through working with both commercial partners and individuals. The criteria for project evaluation are outlined in our Scientific research plan.
The program is developed by AWR's own Science advisory group. The Science advisory group is also responsible for evaluating and prioritizing scientific research proposals submitted to the AWR. Once or twice a year, the Antarctic Wildlife Research Fund will call for project proposals in open competitions advertised on the AWR website. AWR may also make direct contracts with research institutions and scientists to fund projects. Read more about our Grants and Application process.
